Thirty-seven caring Baldwin Wallace University students made a difference by volunteering at four diverse destinations during the 2016 fall semester. The BW Alternative Break service program gives students the opportunity to spend their breaks helping others. Each experience is led by a BW student with support from a University faculty or staff adviser. Student volunteers traveled to Detroit over Thanksgiving break and to San Antonio, New Orleans and Chicago over winter break.
Eight Coastal Carolina University students recently attended the International Student Festival in Trondheim (ISFiT) in Norway, where the main topic was discrimination. The students presented their research papers to a public discussion about discrimination in late March.

More than 500 students earned endowed scholarships at Baldwin Wallace University this fall. BW has a long history of endowed scholarship support from alumni, faculty, trustees and friends. More than 385 named scholarships provide over $3 million to help students attend, persist and graduate from BW. Endowed scholarships vary in their requirements with many specifying financial need, a course of study, involvement on campus or a commitment to excellence in a particular field.
Kent State University awards nearly 3,000 degrees, with more than 545 accompanying institutional honors, and including 1598 bachelor's degrees, 668 master's degrees, 44 doctoral degrees, 254 associate degrees and 1 educational specialist degrees.
Kent State continues strong university enrollment by welcoming a record-setting freshman class, in terms of size, diversity, and quality based on GPA. These academically motivated freshmen have an average GPA of 3.4 and an average ACT score of above 23.
The Baldwin Wallace University Alumni Office is pleased to announce a new class of Student Ambassadors, a student organization that fosters relationships between BW alumni and the University.
Nearly 600 students at the University of Findlay recently participated in the annual Symposium for Scholarship and Creativity. Held on campus, undergraduate and graduate students were given the opportunity to share their research, creativity and professional learning experiences with the University and community.
Over one hundred students achieved membership in Alpha Lambda Delta (ALD) National Honor Society for First-Year Students in the fall 2015 semester. ALD is an honor society for full-time students who achieved a 3.5 GPA or higher and are in the top 20 percent of their class during their first year of higher education.
Wittenberg students have been accepted to the National Political Science Honor Society, Pi Sigma Alpha, and were inducted on April 13. Requirements are: 1. Junior or senior standing at the time of application 2. A minimum of five (5) Political Science classes completed with at least one (1) at the 300 level or above 3. An overall GPA of 3.3, and a 3.5 GPA in Poli Sci classes
The following Walsh University students are participating in cultural immersion trips this summer with visits to Italy, Tanzania, Uruguay, Mexico, Uganda, Switzerland and the United Kingdom as a part of Walsh's Global Learning Program offerings.
Concluding a day-long Celebration of the Liberal Arts at Wittenberg University, the campus community celebrated the achievements of students and faculty members at the annual Honors Convocation, Friday, April 10, in Weaver Chapel. The faculty commemorated the occasion in full academic regalia as the university recognized high achievement of students and faculty members in academic and co-curricular activities.

28 Baldwin Wallace University fall student-athletes have been named to the 2014 Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference team.
